Welcome to Glorious Greece. Arrive in Mykonos, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 3      MYKONOS

Enjoy one of Greece’s most picturesque islands. Days on this Island will be filled with warm temperatures and sunny skies. Take the opportunity and sink into the salty waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

DAY 4      MYKONOS

You will feel like you are walking through a postcard when you take a stroll around town and explore the narrow paved streets. See chapels with red and blue domes, high windmills and many boutiques, tavernas and restaurants.

DAY 5      MYKONOS - SANTORINI

Today transfer to the port for your hydrofoil to the island of Santorini. In Santorini you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 6      SANTORINI

Relax on the spectacular volcanic Island of Santorini. Enjoy a stroll through the cobblestone paved narrow streets of the cliff top town of Fira.

DAY 7      SANTORINI – COOKING CLASS AND WINE TASTING TOUR

Taste your way around Santorini and savour the crisp flavours of the island's renowned wines as you uncover the secrets of its production along the way. Learn how to cook typical Santorini dishes and indulge in a delicious lunch – which you prepare.

Your flavourful day, filled with Santorini wines and culinary delicacies, begins with a visit to a vineyard. Discover the basket vines distinctive to the island and gain an insight into the local viticulture that makes Santorini's vine growth recognised worldwide.

Stop at 2 local wineries, where you can explore the cellars to see where the wines are stored and matured. You also have the opportunity to sample up to 8 different Santorini wines, including Nykteri, Vinsanto and Assyrtiko – which is made from a white wine grape indigenous to the island.

Continue your tour with a delightful cooking class. Observe the local chef and gain tips on how to prepare your own Santorini lunch. Chop up some tomatoes and fry up a tomato pancake – an island speciality – for starters. Then learn how to sauté pork fillet and serve it with a sweet Vinsanto wine sauce. Finally, it's time to savour the fruits of your labour with a well-deserved glass of Greek wine or a spirit like Ouzo.

DAY 8      SANTORINI – ATHENS

Today make your own way to the airport for your flight to Athens. In Athens make your own way to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Explore the Plaka area, and all its amazing shops and taverns.

DAY 9      ATHENS – PRIVATE SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Discover Athens with the expert help of a private guide. Listen to the mythological history of this remarkable city and visit some of its main landmarks, including the UNESCO-listed Acropolis, the stadium that hosted the first Olympic Games and the fascinating Acropolis Museum.

After hotel pick-up, your first stop is Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games took place. Marvel at its beautiful construction – it's the only stadium ever built with white marble. Then continue through the city and pass the mighty Temple of Olympian Zeus as you hear fascinating stories that bring old myths back to life.

Take some photos as you drive through the Athens Trilogy, which consists of the national library, university and academy. You also see the Old Royal Palace, home to the Greek Parliament, with its guards dressed in traditional uniforms.

After that, begin your climb toward the imposing Acropolis. Once you reach the top, weave in and out of temples built long ago, including the Propylaea and the famous Parthenon, and trace the footsteps of some of the greatest minds of the 5th century.

Your last stop is the Acropolis Museum. Here, watch the ongoing excavations of this active archaeological site and immerse yourself in history and art that dates back thousands of years. Prehistoric antiquities, sophisticated marble sculptures and ancient daily objects take your breath away as you stroll through the spacious halls.
